Caring for 3-year-old Gavin Schafran, who has cerebral palsy and can’t crawl or sit up by himself, is rewarding, but demanding work for his parents, Dan and Brandilee Schafran.
When the Camillus couple heard about David’s Refuge in Manlius, they signed up to be some of the first guests to try out the bed-and-breakfast retreat for parents of children with special needs or life-threatening illnesses.
